The southernmost community of Sylt is Hörnum. With about 1000 residents, it is one of the younger villages on the island. The location is unique at the southern tip of the island with miles of beach on the west side, mudflats and dune landscape. In the center is the harbor, from which excursion ships depart for Föhr, Amrum and the Halligen. Hörnum is an extraordinary versatile recreational paradise in the midst of idyllic nature, where there is so much to discover in terms of culture, gastronomy and sights. On one side you can explore other islands or on the other side you buy a fresh crab roll, sit down in a beach chair, take a bite and enjoy the sun, the beach, the sea, the fresh breeze.
